Lord Malmsbury Vineyards was planted by the Rush brothers in 1989.

The philosophy they brought with them was to produce the best grapes to make the best wine.

Lord Malmsbury vineyard is a small family owned, boutique vineyard where

Located just north of Malsmbury township in the Macedon Ranges Region, “Australia's coldest Climate wine region”

On the northern slopes of the Great Dividing Range in the Central Victorian Highlands on a cold climate site of rich basaltic soils this 5 acre vineyard was planted to premium varieties — Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Merlot, Shiraz, and Cabernet Sauvignon, producing premium award winning wines;

Lord Malmsbury Vineyard employs Green Viticultural practices.

· Unirrigated vines for maximum fruit flavor

· SOD viticulture

· Traditional spray application

· Open canopy management. Combined with leaf plucking to maximize fruit exposure and minimize disease

· Bunch thinning to maintain 2 tonne per acre yields

· Hand picking of grapes

 

Our wines are made using traditional wine making techniques with barrel aging, minimum filtration & bottle fermentation.

 

Released wines are aged and ready to enjoy.
